There was a time when I felt completely lost in my creative journey. I had the passion, the vision, and the determination, but the road was far from smooth. Setbacks seemed to outweigh progress, frustrations piled up, and self-doubt crept in like an unwelcome guest. I questioned whether I was truly meant to walk this path, whether my dreams were valid, or if I was simply chasing an illusion.
I vividly remember the days when I poured my heart into projects, only to be met with silence. The sleepless nights spent perfecting designs, the rejected proposals, the moments when everything felt like a dead end. The creative world can be harsh, talent alone isn’t enough. Without the right networks, resources, and recognition, it’s easy to feel invisible.
Then, at my lowest, something happened that changed everything.
During a conversation with a client, someone who had believed in my work, she casually said something that would redefine my journey:
“Design will take you places.”
At first, it seemed like just another passing comment. But those five words lingered in my mind, echoing louder with each passing day. Slowly, I started believing in them. I realized that my creativity wasn’t just a skill, it was a vehicle, a passport to places I had only dreamed of. That was the moment my life started taking shape.
Instead of allowing setbacks to define me, I chose to refine myself. I sharpened my skills, expanded my knowledge, and pushed myself beyond my comfort zone. I learned that resilience is the bridge between dreams and reality. And soon, doors began to open.
Through hard-earned skills, determination, and unwavering faith, I found myself working with some of the most prominent clients and organizations, each experience adding another layer to my growth:
✅ Citizen TV – A space where I honed my storytelling skills and built a strong media presence.
✅ The University of Nairobi – My academic journey intertwined with my creative pursuits.
✅ Adventist News Kenya – Where I developed digital content that inspired and informed.
✅ Eden Lawn & Garden – Working towards sustainability and mechanization through impactful projects.
✅ United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA 6) – Engaging in high-level environmental discussions.
✅ African Union (AU) – Contributing to conversations that shape Africa’s future.
✅ Horn of Africa Youth Network – Collaborating with young leaders across the region.
✅ COMESA & IGAD Interministerial Conference – Engaging in regional policy dialogues.
✅ Royal FM Kigali – Strengthening my voice in media and communications.
✅ Allan Chesang Foundation – Supporting initiatives that uplift underprivileged communities.
✅ Oval Foods Forum – Advocating for sustainable food systems.
✅ SMACHS Foundation – My heart and soul in climate advocacy, working on food security and sustainability.
✅ Creation Flick – Partnering with industry leaders to produce high-quality creative content.
These weren’t just professional achievements; they were transformational experiences. Each collaboration deepened my understanding of creativity, climate advocacy, education, and digital media. My work was no longer just about aesthetics—it became a tool for impact.
I grew. I evolved. And through it all, I found my greater purpose.
I became more than just a designer. I became a climate and education advocate, using digital storytelling to inspire action. I’ve traveled miles, engaged with like-minded individuals, and pushed the boundaries of what I once thought was possible.
And now, on this special day—Valentine’s Day/Week—I choose to celebrate my first love: @Reznick Creators Hub.
This brand has been more than just a business; it’s been a symbol of my journey. A place where ideas come to life, where creativity knows no bounds, where digital meets reality. We took time to refine, restructure, and scale up, ensuring that what we offer is bigger and better than ever before.
